BUILDING A CIRCULAR ECONOMY
In the U.S. alone, 12.7 million tons of textiles are thrown away each year, 85% of which ends up in landfills. Most of this clothing could be put to better use, which is why we’ve partnered with The Renewal Workshop to keep good clothes from going to waste.
HOW IT WORKS:
Click HERE to tell us what well-worn Myles gear you'd like to send back to be reused or recycled
We’ll email you a pre-paid shipping label to send your clothes to our partners at The Renewal Workshop
You’ll get a code for 10% off your next Myles order as a "thank you" for doing your part to help reduce apparel waste*
Here’s what happens to the clothes you send back:
Our partners at The Renewal Workshop deep clean your returned garments using liquid CO2, a washing process that uses no water or heat. Then they inspect them for any minor damage, make repairs, and re-package them for new life as a refurbished item.
For items with unfixable stains or tears, The Renewal Workshop will offer them to independent designers to take parts of the fabric and trims such as zippers that are still good and re-use them in new bags, clothing, and accessories.
Finally, any items that cannot be renewed or upcycled are shredded and either composted or recycled into yarns that will be used to create new textiles. That fabric can be used to make new apparel, such as our recycled polyester Everyday Tee and Farallon Fleece jacket.
